Artists for Victoria Park
27 January 2025
We're excited to announce "Artists for Victoria Park," a day on the green where you're invited to come and draw, paint or sketch Victoria Park in all its glory! Not creatively inclined? No problem! Bring your family, friends and children for a relaxing morning out on the green, soaking up the beauty of the park while watching art come to life. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just beginning, this is your chance to get creative while supporting the fight to save Brisbane’s largest inner-city green space.
Special Guest: Renowned artist David Hinchliffe will be there painting so can be observed by artists of all levels. Let’s come together to celebrate the park’s natural beauty and raise awareness to protect it for future generations.
Date: Monday, 27 January 2025 (public holiday)
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Location: Victoria Park / Barrambin - check in at the first BBQ next to the Function Centre
Transport options: The Northern Busway stop of HERSTON is a very short walk if you exit from the inbound bus platform straight into the park. There are some cycle parks near the first barbecue area. Car parks are located to your right as you drive into the main entrance of the park. Parking is also available on-street on Gilchrist Ave and Herston Road (see image below)

Voices for Victoria Park
1 February 2025
Join us for "Voices for Victoria Park", where we’re aiming to create the world’s largest human "NO" to send a clear and undeniable message: the community says NO to a stadium in Victoria Park. Community leaders, advocates and media will be present to help amplify our message.
This is a family-friendly event, open to people of all ages. Bring your kids, your friends, and even your dogs (on lead)! There will also be a FREE BBQ on the day!
Let’s come together, speak up, and show Brisbane that we value green spaces over concrete. Your presence matters - be part of the action!
