Acknowledgement of Country
We respectfully acknowledge the Turrbal and Yagera people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Victoria Park / Barrambin stands. For thousands of years, this space has been a place of gathering, connection and cultural significance for Aboriginal peoples and it remains deeply tied to their stories and traditions.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging and recognise the continuing connection to land, water and community. As we work to protect Victoria Park, we honour its cultural heritage and commit to preserving this space for future generations, in harmony with the wisdom and stewardship of its First Nations peoples.
